FlowDesigner

FlowDesigner is a graphical tool for the design of the data quality processes. It contains all the necessary functionality for implementing the most complex of data quality processes and yet is an easy to use drag and drop application designed for the business user who knows the data.

FlowDesigner uses the core Data Quality Platform and it is FlowDesigner projects that are deployed to implement a data quality solution, for example a scheduled run to de-duplicate data or as a data quality firewall. FlowDesigner projects underpin the Data Quality Manager (DQM).

The aim of a data quality process is to take 'dirty' data, profile, transform and de-duplicate that data and finally export clean data.

FlowDesigner allows you to specify the input data sources (of which there may be more than one) and to then build the data quality process and specify the export of the corrected data. Reports are available within the interface and data quality projects can be integrated to external systems.

Configuration

FlowDesigner enables the most complex of data quality processes to be built with all configurations occurring with pop-up panels. There is no coding involved even for the enablement of parallel processing.

Master Reference Files

The Master Reference Files enables your information about your data to be used within the data quality processes. FlowDesigner allows you to use Datactics knowledge incorporated within the product and to also update or create new knowledge files with information pertinent to your business.
